GENERAL
Biography
Professor linked to the School of Geology of Universidad Industrial de Santander since October 1984 to support the undergraduate subjects of Petroleum Engineering, Biology and Geology. Biostratigrapher with extensive knowledge of invertebrate paleontology, sedimentology and field geology of sedimentary rocks.
Linked to different research and extension projects, in evaluation and characterization of oil basins in Colombia. Sedimentology and stratigraphy advisor in the project to certify the physical stratigraphy and quality of the drill cores recovered by the ANH in the Cesar Rancheria Basins. Participant in the Chicamocha Canyon application project as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
Co-investigator in external research Method for estimating travel distances of mass movements based on approximations. I am currently on sabbatical commission writing a book on sedimentary rock classification.
