GENERAL
Biography
Dr. Martha Torres is a Senior Researcher at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Director of the School of Industrial and Business Studies. She graduated as a Systems Engineer from the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and obtained her PhD in Business Strategy and Marketing from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. Throughout her career, she has led numerous projects funded by the European Union and collaborated with the European Training Council. In Colombia, she has served as a co-investigator in Colciencias projects focused on key productive areas. Her career spans more than 20 years of experience in the science and technology sector, and she has been teaching for over 10 years.

At the Universidad Industrial de Santander, she oversees the Educational Innovation Laboratory GALEA and is associated with the Finance & Management research group. Over the last four years, she has been leading projects related to gamified strategies. Her dedication and experience in various research fields have established her as a prominent figure in the academic and scientific communities.
