GENERAL
Biography
Omar Tíjaro is an electronic engineer whose passion lies in delivering high-quality work. Throughout his professional life, he has been involved in various research projects related to software development, interacting with electrical circuits, and experimental setups in optics, signal processing, and image processing focused on the fields of control and communications.
In his career, he has had the opportunity to engage in the design and development of software using agile methodologies. He has applied these methodologies in the implementation of projects, both in software development and coordination activities. This involves designing various databases, controllers, policies, among other aspects, and analyzing the results to make decisions for continuous improvement.

He also has experience in the energy industry, working as a field engineer and marketing professional for monitoring the operation of electro-submersible pumps and their unique designs. In this role, he programmed variable speed drives and communication protocols to link data from sensing oil well parameters in SCADA systems, among other responsibilities.
Omar has been involved in managing State exams (Saber Pro and Saber TyT in the Engineering area) at the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (ICFES) and has had the opportunity to be a teacher for over 10 years.
Currently, he is working on designing methodologies to implement optical communications that he hopes will be faster than current systems.
