GENERAL
Biography
Oscar Leonel Rueda-Ochoa currently works in the Department of Basic Sciences at the Universidad Industrial de Santander UIS, Bucaramanga, Colombia. He is a physician in Internal Medicine with a PhD in Cardiovascular Research. His doctoral thesis deals with cardiovascular controversies resolved by applying contemporary statistical methods. He is working on topics such as continuous repeated outcomes in systolic blood pressure, left ventricular diastolic function, electrocardiography, aortic diameters using marginal, mixed and joint models. Propensity score matching, competing risk, SEM, youden index, mediation analysis and causal studies using the g-formula are other areas of work in progress. Genetic risk scoring, ewas, and Mendelian randomization analysis are other important areas of interest.
