GENERAL
Biography
Specialist in Pediatrics with a focus on infectious diseases, a master’s degree in HIV infection, and a specialization in university teaching. He has been affiliated with the Department of Pediatrics at the School of Medicine since August 2005, supporting undergraduate and graduate academic activities related to pediatric infectious diseases. He coordinates the Pediatric Infectious Disease Service at Hospital Universitario de Santander (HUS), within the framework of the HUS-UIS teaching and healthcare agreement. He is also linked to the Colombian Society of Pediatrics, the Latin American Society of Pediatrics, and the Colombian Association of Infectious Diseases, where he is part of the National Board of Directors.
His research interests include pediatric infectious diseases, particularly in the areas of Pediatric infectious diseases, molecular diagnosis of infectious diseases, infections in pediatric immunosuppressed patients, and tropical medicine.
