GENERAL
Biography
Professor Arnoldo Rafael Teherán Herrera, a member of the School of Mathematics at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), has stood out for his participation in the Algebra and Combinatorics Research Group (ALCOM), highlighting his commitment to research and the advancement of knowledge.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 2014. Additionally, he has obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the Universidad del Valle in 2005, a Specialization in Advanced Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín Campus in 1999, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Universidad de Córdoba in 1996.
Professor Teherán Herrera excels in essential areas such as Algebraic Curves and Coding Theory, enriching the mathematical understanding at UIS.
