General
Dayana es una vulcanóloga conocida por sus contribuciones en el entendimiento de sistemas de alimentación magmática para sistemas monogenéticos y su interacción con la deformación tectónica local. También ha trabajado en otros campos como la generación herramientas interactivas para el manejo y almacenamiento de datos e hizo parte del equipo internacional de científicos que descubrió el cráter de impacto que creo el campo de las tectitas de Australasia. Dayana trabajo en la industria minera y fue una de las socias fundadoras de GMAS S.A.S. Posterior a su doctorado, trabajo como Research Fellow en el Observatorio de la Tierra de Singapur y su segunda estancia postdoctoral fue en la universidad de Caldas (Colombia), financiado por Minciencias. Actualmente, Dayana se encuentra en Escuela de Geología, como profesora de planta.
