GENERAL
Biography
Professor Argenida Blanco has held the position of full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics since August 1992. Additionally, she serves as the Coordinator for the Pediatrics and Special Pediatric Semiology courses within the undergraduate Medicine program at the Universidad Industrial de Santander. Furthermore, she is a postgraduate professor specializing in Pediatrics, specifically focusing on the subject of Family Health and Adolescence.
From 2015 to 2021, she assumed the role of Coordinator for the ICFES Saber Pro reviews in the Medicine program.

Professor Blanco played an active role in the establishment of the Single National Program of Specialization in Family Medicine, a publication that received endorsement from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, as well as ORAS – CONHU in 2015.
Additionally, she has made valuable contributions as an author to various chapters in the book “Evaluación y manejo pediátrico” (Pediatric evaluation and management) by Ediciones UIS, which was published in 2021, and to the first and second editions of the book “Temas selectos de pediatría” (Selected topics in pediatrics).
