GENERAL
Biography
Professor Carlos Alfonso Peñaranda Molina has over 20 years of experience in the professional practice as a litigating lawyer in the field of criminal law. He has served as a legal advisor in various private sector, public sector, and trade union organizations at both regional and national levels, amassing over 10 years of expertise in this domain. Over a 5-year period, he held the position of director at the Casa de Justicia in Bucaramanga and also served as the director of the Center for Reception of Juvenile Offenders in Bucaramanga.
For a span of thirteen years, he fulfilled the role of human rights defender and public defender, representing the interests of both defendants and victims in criminal proceedings. Between the years 2014 and 2019, he worked as a public defender, handling cases before the Supreme Court of Justice. In the academic sphere, he has been a university lecturer at the undergraduate level since 2008, amassing over fifteen years of teaching experience. Additionally, he has worked as a lecturer and advisor in postgraduate programs for the past six years.
