GENERAL
Biography
Professor David Sanín is passionate about plants and firmly believes that, together with fungi, they should be the main criteria for land management, in order to prevent their extinction and promote the sustainable use of biological resources. His mission is to record this biodiversity and provide tools to understand its evolution, dispersal, and ensure effective protection.
His research has focused on the systematics, taxonomy, and conservation of ferns and related plants. He has conducted inventories of vascular flora and has participated in the curation of several Colombian herbaria. Additionally, he has actively interacted with social and scientific associations with the aim of increasing knowledge, awareness, and protection of biodiversity.
