GENERAL
Biography
Dayana is a volcanologist known for her contributions to the understanding of magmatic feeding systems for monogenetic systems and their interaction with local tectonic deformation. She has also worked in other fields such as the generation of interactive tools for data management and storage and was part of the international team of scientists who discovered the impact crater that created the field of Australasian tektites. Dayana worked in the mining industry and was one of the founding partners of GMAS S.A.S. After her PhD, she worked as a Research Fellow at the Earth Observatory of Singapore and her second postdoctoral stay was at tUniversidad de Caldas (Colombia), funded by Minciencias. Currently, Dayana is in School of Geology, as a tenured professor.
