GENERAL
Biography
Dr. Fernando Viejo-Abrante holds a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Technology from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. He is a tenured professor and principal researcher at the School of Chemical Engineering, where he is dedicated to the design of sol-gel hybrid systems for various applications, such as biomaterials, corrosion, power generation, and smart materials.

Dr. Viejo-Abrante has published about 70 scientific papers, most of them in top international materials journals. Additionally, he frequently collaborates as a reviewer of research articles and proposals for several academic institutions.
