GENERAL

Biography

He was the leader of the Strategic Eastern Technology Transfer Office (OTRI), where he guided numerous companies, institutions, and individuals, advising them on matters related to technology transfer, intellectual property, and innovation and technology management.

He served as an advisor for the Departmental Strategic Plan for Science, Technology, and Innovation of Santander (PEDCTI) and actively participated in national and international projects such as SUMA (Alfa III project of the European Economic Community), Iberincu (Ibero-American Network of Technology-Based Business Incubators), the Master Plan for the Guatiguará Technology Park with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), PILA-Network (Intellectual and Industrial Property Network in Latin America), and served as an R&D+I advisor to Ecopetrol. He also advised on intellectual capital and the third mission of universities to various Higher Education Institutions in the country (Universidad del Valle, Universidad del Cauca, Universidad Javeriana, Icesi, Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, UNAD, Corporación Universitaria Comfacauca, Colegio Mayor del Cauca University Institution, Universidad San Buenaventura, among others).

He has enriched his experience and knowledge at institutions such as SPRU at the University of Sussex, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Texas. He has published in high-impact national and international journals and has delivered over 40 international conferences. His work in start-ups, spin-offs, technology transfer, and innovation management demonstrates his passion for integrating science, technology, and innovation into sustainable development and social transformation.
