Adams and Innovative Percussion Artist and president of the Percussive Arts Society Colombia Chapter (COLPAS), holds a Master’s in Music from Universidad EAFIT and a Master’s in Percussion from Universidad de Antioquia. He currently serves as a researcher and professor of percussion and music theory at the School of Music at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), where he is also pursuing a doctorate in Social and Human Sciences. Additionally, he teaches Appreciation and Production in the Creative and Cultural Management program.

He has performed and taught at prominent festivals, including the III International Music Festival of Medellín, the III Latin American Marimbist Competition in Chiapas, Mexico, the VIII and XV International Percussion Festival “Fundación Cultural Patagonia” in Argentina, the III, IV, and V International Percussion Festival in Ibagué, the XXXII International Piano Festival UIS, the I to VIII International Percussion Festival UIS in Bucaramanga, the I International Percussion Festival of Barranquilla, and the XI and XV International Percussion Festival Tamborimba.

As a drummer, he has performed with renowned artists such as Cynthia Scott, Diane Schuur, Juan Carlos Coronel, and the Big Band of Medellín, among others. He has appeared as a soloist with ensembles such as the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Río Negro in Argentina, the String Orchestra of Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga, the Symphony Orchestra of Ibagué, the Orchestra of the Network of Music Training Schools of Pasto, the Symphonic Band of Quindío, the Symphonic Band of Universidad de Antioquia, the Percussion Ensemble of Universidad de Antioquia, the SAETA Percussion Ensemble, and the Percanto Percussion Ensemble of Universidad EAFIT.

He is the founder and director of the SAETA Percussion Ensemble and the UIS International Percussion Festival.
