GENERAL
Biography
A biologist and professor at the School of Microbiology, he completed his PhD in Evolutionary Biology at Tübingen, Germany, and conducted postdoctoral research at various renowned institutions, including the Max Planck Institute, the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), and the Centre for Organismal Studies (COS) in Heidelberg, Germany. During this time, his research centered on unraveling the molecular mechanisms governing animal development.
Within the undergraduate program in Microbiology and Bioanalysis, he actively contributed to courses such as Molecular Biology, Microbial Physiology, Biochemistry I, and Genetics.
During his postgraduate studies, he took on teaching roles in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Research I. In terms of research, his current interests are twofold: the development of biosensors for detecting endocrine disruptors and investigating the molecular determinants of therapeutic resistance in cancer. Presently, he serves as the director of the Immunology and Molecular Epidemiology Group (GIEM).
