GENERAL
Biography
José Moreno Montoya, obtained the degree of Statistician from the Faculty of Sciences of Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá, Colombia, 2004). In 2008, he completed his master’s studies receiving the title of MSc in Epidemiology, from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He received in 2004 and 2005 the recognition as a young researcher by the Council for Sciences of Colombia, COLCIENCIAS.
In 2009 he began his PhD studies in Epidemiology Sciences, at the National Institute of Public Health in Mexico, studying to date fifth academic semester where he successfully completed his academic process with a special mention for outstanding doctoral thesis.

He has been a postgraduate professor at different private and public universities in Colombia, Mexico, the United States and Spain, and has worked as a researcher in recognized institutions such as the National Institute of Health of Colombia and the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. He also has training, at the diploma level, in systematic reviews of literature, by the Cochrane Collaboration, and University Teaching, by Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
Throughout his professional experience, he has participated in the publication of several articles in indexed scientific journals of international circulation and books of research results. His areas of interest include: the epidemiological method, the theory of causality and statistical analysis applied in epidemiology.
