GENERAL
Biography
Geologist associated with la Universidad Industrial de Santander since 1990. He formed work teams in consulting companies in the areas of Geotechnics and Hydrogeology. He was also affiliated with INGEOMINAS (now the Colombian Geological Service) in the area of Environmental Geology.
He held administrative positions, including Director of the School of Geology and Metallurgical Engineering, and Dean of the Faculty of Physicochemical Engineering. He also taught undergraduate courses in sedimentology, regional and applied geological cartography, remote sensing, geographic information systems, geomorphology, geotechnics, and environmental geology, as well as geological engineering courses in the master’s program in Geotechnics.
In extension activities, he participated in projects with entities such as the Colombian Geological Service, the National Mining Agency, ECOPETROL, and MINCIENCIAS, working on projects related to geological mapping, mass movement hazard assessment (scales 1:100,000 and 1:25,000), mapping for resource prospecting, and hydrogeological studies, among others.
