GENERAL

Biography

Since 2018, she has been linked to Universidad Industrial de Santander, where she supports the School of Nursing in theoretical-practical subjects, extension activities, and research. Her work in theoretical-practical subjects spans all levels of nursing except the first. She is particularly interested in research areas such as integrative nursing, neuroscience applied to care, drug abuse in adolescents and children, transgenerational trauma, and the gut microbiota’s relationship with mental health.

In addition, she has international experience in Spain, where she worked caring for institutionalized older adults and patients with mental and psychiatric conditions. She has also provided nursing care to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and Down syndrome. Lastly, she represents the School of Nursing in the Teaching-Service agreement with IPS Niños de Papel and the ESE San Camilo Psychiatric Hospital.
