GENERAL

Biography

Luz Helena Sánchez Rodríguez is a Master in Toxicology and a Professor of Toxicology at the School of Microbiology at the Universidad Industrial de Santander. She is a member of the CODEIM Group, categorized as A1 by MinCiencias, and serves as the leader of the research line in Environmental Toxicology and Toxicogenetics. Within this line, projects have been conducted to assess human exposure to pesticides, study the effects of heavy metals on renal, immunological, and reproductive functions, and investigate genetic susceptibility to renal damage. Currently, she is actively involved in a project monitoring potential drug interactions from a genetic perspective related to antifungals used in the treatment of candidiasis.
