GENERAL
Biography
Petroleum Engineer with a Specialization in Statistics from Universidad Industrial de Santander (Colombia), a Master’s in Petroleum Engineering with an emphasis on Hydrocarbon Production from Universidad del Zulia (Venezuela), and a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering with an emphasis on Formation Evaluation from the University of Texas at Austin (USA).
Professor and researcher with 25 years of academic experience at Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela, Universidad Industrial de Santander in Colombia, and Escuela Politécnica del Litoral in Ecuador. She has taught undergraduate and graduate courses such as Reservoir Engineering, Formation Evaluation, Well Log Interpretation, Reservoir Characterization, Petrophysical Analysis, Fluid Mechanics, Advanced Petrophysics, Reservoir Simulation, and Research Seminars.

Her current research focuses on the numerical modeling of fluid flow in porous media under various enhanced recovery methods. She has served as an international consultant in Petrophysics and Reservoir disciplines in Mexico and as a reservoir engineer for Maraven, a subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela.
