GENERAL
Biography
Professor Manuel Alberto Flórez Torres is an outstanding academic at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, with a solid academic background that includes a PhD in Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Master’s degree in Physical Sciences from the Universidad de los Andes. His commitment to research is reflected in his active participation as a member of the Relativity and Gravitation Research Group (GIRG). His experience and expertise are in the areas of seismology and data science, being these his main lines of research.
