GENERAL
Biography
Her research activity has been focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that modulate host-pathogen interaction and how these determine susceptibility or resistance to the disease. She has experience in the development of research on Chagas disease, mainly in the use of omics technologies such as proteomics and metabolomics for the study of the physiopathogenic mechanisms underlying the development of Chronic Chagas Cardiomyopathy, as well as in the detection and molecular characterization of different microorganisms, mainly those that cause infectious and parasitic diseases (T. cruzi, Leishmania, and respiratory viruses).
