GENERAL
Biography
Dr. Mónica Alexandra Ramírez, Plastic Surgeon, subspecialist in hand surgery, has extensive training in the management of various upper limb pathologies, she is passionate about teaching, reconstructive surgery, constant training, languages and traveling.
She has been trained in different parts of the world consolidating strong relationships with his peers, exchanging training and experiences, she has been a lecturer in multiple international and national congresses and has participated with research works that have achieved great recognition, she has been part of the selection committee for Colfuturo fellows, she has directed several degree theses that have achieved maximum recognition of laureate thesis, She has also been a member of the jury for the Bachelor’s Degree Thesis in her specialty.
She has a great sense of social responsibility, being part of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Medical Mission for several decades, in which, together with a group of North American specialists, they provide reconstructive surgical management to pediatric patients and less favored adults in the Colombian Northeast. She is currently an undergraduate and graduate professor in the Department of Surgery at Universidad Industrial de Santander, Coordinator of Hand Surgery at Hospital Internacional de Colombia.
