GENERAL
Biography
He currently holds the esteemed position of Director at the Research Group in Computed Tomography for Reservoir Characterization (GIT), which has been formally recognized by Minciencias in Category A. Over the past 6 years, he has successfully led a total of 43 projects, comprising 14 research projects and 29 extension projects in collaboration with the hydrocarbon industry. These projects have spanned various areas, including Reservoir Characterization, Increase of Recovery Factor, Petrophysical Analysis and Damage to Formation, Drilling, Production Engineering, and Characterization and Stratigraphic Correlation.

Winner of 2 awards in the technical competition of the XVII Colombian Oil and Gas Congress – International Petroleum Conference And Exhibition 2017, in the areas of “Emerging Basins and Frontier Business” and “Mature Fields”. In the last 6 years, he has published 9 technical articles in indexed journals and 3 are in the process of publication. He has experience as an undergraduate and graduate university professor in the areas of Gas Processing Plants, Hydrocarbon Production, Petrophysical Analysis, Surface Facilities and Gas Engineering. He was Director of the School of Petroleum Engineering at UIS for more than 12 years.
