GENERAL
Biography
Laureate Faculty Member of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, with extensive experience as a teacher in the area of Reservoirs. He stands out for his commitment to academic excellence, his contribution in the field of research and his leadership as director of the research group Enhanced Recovery – GRM. Due to his research impetus, he has instilled in his students a passion for research and has achieved together with his research team to obtain patents, software registrations. Additionally, he has published 50 articles in high impact journals, consolidating his reputation as an outstanding researcher before Minciencias.
Read moreHis publications reflect his deep knowledge and his ability to address relevant and complex problems, providing innovative solutions and contributing to scientific progress. Founder and director of the Recovering Research group from 2004 to date; for almost two decades he has motivated and directed in projects and research work more than 700 masters, specialization, and undergraduate students. Founder, coordinator and professor of the master’s degree in hydrocarbon engineering for more than 12 years; worked as operations engineer, drilling, and reservoir manager in the companies Texaco, Occidental and Petrocol respectively.
