GENERAL
Biography
Professor William Pinto Hernández is an outstanding academic professional from Universidad Industrial de Santander, with a solid background that includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution in 2012. In addition, he holds a Mechanical Engineering degree awarded by Universidad Industrial de Santander in 2008.
As a member of the Research Group in Multiphysics Dynamical Systems, Control and Robotics (DICBOT), Professor Pinto Hernandez specializes in several research areas. His lines of research include modeling, control and robotics, structural failure diagnosis, finite elements, power transmission line modeling, viscoelasticity and inverse problems.
