GENERAL

Biography

PhD in Electronic Engineering, Master in Electronic Engineering, and Electronic Engineer – Cum Laude. Professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander since 2013, attached to the School of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications. She is currently a tenured professor. She has served as academic coordinator of the undergraduate academic programs in Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering.

She is a research member of the Research Group in Electrical Power Systems – GISEL and currently serves as an associate editor of the IET Power Electronics journal. She has been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 2012. She has participated in various research and outreach projects, as well as in the supervision of doctoral theses, master’s research projects, and undergraduate projects in Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering. Her research areas include power electronics, distributed energy resources, photovoltaic systems, multilevel converters, control systems, power quality, active power filtering, electrical microgrids, electronic prototype development, and STEM education.
