GENERAL
Biography
Dr. Ramírez-Pinilla is a Professor Laureate at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and an esteemed member of the School of Biology in the Faculty of Sciences. She holds a degree in Biology from the prestigious National University of Colombia and a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Zoology from the National University of Tucumán in Argentina. Throughout her professional career, she has distinguished herself through her dedication to research in diverse fields, with a particular focus on Reproductive and Developmental Biology, Herpetology, Zoology, Ecology, and Natural History.
Read moreCurrently, she holds key positions at the institution, serving as the Coordinator of the Zoological Collections at the Natural History Museum of the UIS, as well as the Director of the Herpetology Collection and the leader of the Laboratory of Reproductive Biology of Vertebrates at the Universidad Industrial de Santander. Her passion and unwavering commitment to her area of expertise have made significant contributions to the advancement of science at the university, and her outstanding work continues to inspire students and researchers alike.
