GENERAL
Biography
Medical Pathologist with extensive experience in the practice of Medicine, Pathology, and higher education, with a student-centered educational approach. Experienced in training undergraduate students in Medicine and Microbiology, as well as teaching Pathology at the postgraduate level. Her research interests focus on applying biomedical engineering to the field of Pathology.
She has solid academic-administrative experience, having successfully led various strategic initiatives, including the Coordination of the Pathology Specialization Program, serving as Deputy Director of Diagnostic Support Services at ESE HUS, Head of the Department of Pathology, and currently, Director of the School of Medicine. Throughout her tenure, she has fostered technological and academic advancements in the areas under her leadership.

She has faced and overcome significant challenges, such as reorganizing the Medical Program during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, leading curricular reform toward an integrative model, achieving high-quality reaccreditation for the Medical Program for a 10-year period, managing curricular reforms, and creating medical-surgical postgraduate programs. Her leadership has been key to strengthening academic and administrative processes that uphold excellence in medical education.
