GENERAL

Biography

Civil Engineer, Ph.D. in Structural Engineering with experience in nonlinear modeling of buildings, seismic risk assessment of cities, and the response of non-structural components.

In the academic field, he has authored over 30 articles in top-quartile SCOPUS/WoS journals on topics related to the seismic performance of reinforced concrete frames and wall buildings. Additionally, he has conducted research on the application of machine learning to predict floor displacements and accelerations in buildings.

In the field of consulting, he has led teams responsible for evaluating the nonlinear performance of over 100 reinforced concrete buildings, ranging from 5 to 30 stories high. He has also led teams in the seismic risk assessment of more than 26 cities in Colombia.
