GENERAL

Biography

Yezid Torres Moreno is a tenured professor in the School of Physics at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and has played a significant role as a member of the Optics and Signal Processing Group (GOTS).

His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Optics and Signal Processing from L’université de Franche-Comté, a Master’s degree in Physics from the Universidad Industrial de Santander, and a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Physics, also from UIS.

Professor Torres Moreno has been recognized for his academic achievements, including First Place in the 3rd Annual Graduate Student Research Day at Florida Atlantic University. He has also received accolades from UIS as the Best National Physicist in 2007 and was awarded the Colombian Society of Physics Prize as the Best Physicist of the same year.
