GENERAL

Biography

Dr. López is a highly regarded tenured professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, as well as a distinguished Senior Researcher-Colciencias. He holds the esteemed positions of Director of the CICTA group and the CICTA laboratories, which have received ONAC accreditation for conducting physicochemical tests on various agri-food matrices. With a remarkable ability to organize and lead research projects, Dr. López demonstrates his expertise in the field.

His research interests revolve around the transformation and enhancement of raw materials derived from agricultural sources, employing biotechnological approaches. This focus on adding value to agricultural resources showcases his commitment to sustainable and innovative solutions.
