GENERAL

Description

Economist, Master in History, and PhD in Ibero-American History, with over 35 years of experience as a teaching and research professor in the Social Sciences and Director of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies and Strategic Action for Development (IdEAD). His research career encompasses Economic History, Regional Economics, Territorial Development, Strategic Foresight, and the Energy Transition, promoting interdisciplinary processes for sustainable local and regional development.

Throughout his academic career, he has contributed to the comprehensive education of students and led strategic projects on economic, social, and territorial issues. As author and co-author, he has published over 60 research books, nearly 20 book chapters, and numerous articles—building a well-recognized body of work on history, economics, foresight, and society in northeastern Colombia.
