GENERAL

Biography

Felipe Cataño is a tenured professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, affiliated with the School of Biology in the Faculty of Sciences. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Antioquia, earning a degree in Biology. Subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree in Biology at the University of Geneva, and completed his doctoral studies in plant diversity and adaptation at the Université de Montpellier III.

Felipe Cataño’s area of expertise is closely related to Botany and plant sciences, with a particular focus on Morphology, Plant Anatomy, Systematics, and Floristic Diversity.

Currently, he holds the position of director at the Herbarium of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
