GENERAL

Biography

Professor David Alejandro Miranda Mercado has an extensive academic background, including a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the Universidad de los Andes in Venezuela. He also holds a master’s degree in electronic engineering, along with bachelor’s degrees in electronics and physics, all from the Universidad Industrial de Santander.

Additionally, he serves as the director of the Biological and Semiconductor Materials Research Group (CIMBIOS). His research encompasses various areas, ranging from medical biotechnology and bioengineering to nanosciences, modeling and simulation, as well as the acquisition, characterization, and evaluation of materials.
