Fabio Humberto Sepúlveda Murillo is a distinguished Colombian scholar specializing in statistics and applied mathematics. He has taught at several higher education institutions in Colombia, including the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Universidad de Antioquia (UdeA), Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano (ITM), and Universidad de Medellín (UdeM).

He is currently a member of the Mathematics Research Group (GIM) at UIS. In addition, he is part of the Research Group on Modeling and Scientific Computing at the Universidad de Medellín, where he has also participated in the Research Seedbed on Urban Science and Spatial Statistics.

His research areas include regional and urban studies involving spatial statistics and machine learning tools. He has extensive experience in the analysis of both conventional and spatial data, as well as in the statistical analysis of data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to develop and implement statistical models.
