GENERAL
Biography
Heidy Alegría Gutiérrez León is a professor in the School of Languages and has a strong academic background that includes a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from the University of Ottawa, completed in 2021. Additionally, she earned a Master’s degree in Education and Translation from the Universidad de Antioquia in 2012, a specialization in University Teaching from the Universidad de San Buenaventura in 2010, and a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from the Universidad de Antioquia in 2001. Professor Gutiérrez León specializes in translation between English and Spanish, as well as between French and Spanish. She also excels in Community Interpretation, Research Methodology, and Ethics.
