Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Sciences, specializing in Machine and System Dynamics, from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on Robotics and Design from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Specialist in Mechatronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), Colombia. Distinguished Full Professor, researcher, and director of the Research Group on Robotics and Industrial Design (GIROD) and the DIRO student research group. He is also a researcher with the GECAFD Group.
