She is a researcher, holds a Master’s degree in Music Research and Performance from the Universidad Internacional de Valencia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Musical Arts from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas (Academia Superior de Artes de Bogotá). She currently serves as a full-time tenured professor in the Bachelor’s Degree in Music program at the Universidad Industrial de Santander.

Her research work has focused on relational bonds, meaningful learning, processes of sound encoding and decoding, and the connections between body, sound, and territory. She was a researcher in the Sonidos para la Construcción de Paz – UIS program and has also served as a lecturer and trainer of trainers at the Banco de la República.

She has composed music for theatre, contemporary dance, and children’s productions, participating with these works in various national and international artistic festivals. She directed the Triquiñuela Music Academy for more than ten years.
