Throughout her academic career, he has taken multiple courses and diploma courses. He is bilingual (Spanish-English), for which he studied in several language academies in Colombia and the United States. In his professional career, he has worked as a high school teacher in schools in Bogotá and Bucaramanga. He also worked as rector of the Caldas Institute for 8 years and as rector of the Gimnasio Superior in Bucaramanga for 1 year. He has been an undergraduate and graduate professor and director of many public and private universities in Colombia. Furthermore, he is representative of the Universities before the Municipal Council of Peace, Reconciliation and Coexistence of the city of Bucaramanga since February 2021.

In his academic production, he has participated as a speaker in multiple national and international conferences and has written many articles and book chapters. He has participated in numerous investigations, among the last ones is “design of the peace chair in official educational institutions of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga”, of which he was its director. This research had the endorsement and financial support of the UIS. He has been invited as a juror of Master and Doctorate in several Colombian universities. He was invited as Jury of the committee of the education area of the 2017 call for Colfuturo scholarships in Bogotá – Colombia.
