GENERAL
Biography
Professor Castro specializes in anaerobic digestion processes, focusing on co-digestion, designing and monitoring rural digesters in cold climates, as well as the characterization and post-treatment of digestate. Her expertise extends to the development and implementation of anaerobic laboratories, collaborating closely with the company Biogas Tiger. In addition to her research and academic pursuits, Professor Castro actively engages in activities aimed at promoting the social appropriation of knowledge related to bioprocesses. These activities include the use of serious games and theater plays, providing innovative and engaging approaches to knowledge dissemination in her field.
