GENERAL
Biography
I am a Mechanical Engineer, professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering of the UIS, with more than 25 years of teaching experience in undergraduate, currently in charge of subjects in the area of thermal sciences and fluid mechanics, such as heat transfer, thermodynamics, refrigeration and air conditioning; in postgraduate I have taught subjects such as CFD, numerical methods, Analysis, Modeling and Optimization of Thermal Systems (AMOST) mainly.
In general, I dedicate a lot of time to the development of computer programs for the simulation of systems involving fluid mechanics in laminar and turbulent regime, shallow water flows, flows in porous media; besides the development of calculation systems involved in the academic life of the Mechanical Engineer, such as the calculation of thermophysical properties of real and ideal substances, humid air and brines. I also develop applications that are based on database management, for example to evaluate thermal loads in buildings.
In the future, I hope to develop a flexible calculation system that allows to integrate most of the calculations involved in the profession of the Mechanical Engineer in order to have a reliable tool for the dimensioning of equipment and machinery in its design stage.
